Continuing my exploration of the new town, in my determination to see more than the inside of the medina, I took a little trip to 68 Bar A Vin, which is in the same kind of area as Barometre, L’Annexe, L’Envers etc. So, handy if you’re planning a little bar crawl one night.

It’s much smaller than I was expecting, though upstairs may have been bigger than I realised. One rather curious aspect was the clear ceiling/floor between the two, so you might want to wear trousers if you’re planning on sitting upstairs!

I got there relatively early – it was by no means full but was filling up as I was leaving – and just had a couple of glasses of Moroccan wine before heading off for my dinner reservation at Le Grand Cafe de la Poste. I was given a couple of dips (one aubergine and the other a tapenade) along with my drinks, and generally it was pretty good value.
It’s a nice little place and I imagine that it gets very busy later on (I was there at around 7.30pm/8pm), so you probably do want to get there a bit earlier. They certainly seemed to have a good selection of wine and the food that I saw looked pretty good.
